Acqualina Resort serves up masterclass in luxury, family-oriented getaways

FLORIDA, USA – Acqualina Resort and Spa in Sunny Isles Beach, Miami, Florida was ranked number one in the 2024 US News & World Report’s Best Hotel rankings, with good reason. Nestled perfectly on a magnificent stretch of 4.5 acres of beachfront property, the luxurious hotel showcases Miami’s best.

If you’re feeling low on energy, the atmosphere at Acqualina is guaranteed to breathe new life into you. It is as vibrant as the hotel’s eye-catching signature red. Injected into the already divine aesthetic, the colour blends seamlessly into the lush greenery. It truly is where, according to proprietors, “the charm of a Mediterranean villa meets elegance on the beach.”

From the moment one drives onto the property, you are immediately transported to a world of relaxation and tranquility. It’s the kind of luxury that causes stress and anxiety to become a distant memory.

The 98-room accommodation features world-class facilities including a state-of-the-art fitness centre and spa. The centre boasts the latest Technogym equipment, Peloton bikes, stretching machines, and spacious workout areas. The spa features two relaxation lounges; one for females only and a co-ed facility where guests can enjoy meditation and sound therapy.

Acqualina Spa was awarded the prestigious Five Stars by Forbes Travel Guide and Best Hotel Spa in the US by USA Today. And, having had a rejuvenating experience at the facility myself, I see why it was bestowed with that honour. The resort’s 50-minute deep tissue massage performed by skilled therapists will have you feeling like a new person. Tailored to suit your specific requirements, each experience is customised based on guest feedback, offering optimal enjoyment. It truly was a divine experience.

But if the breathtaking oceanfront suites, state-of-the-art fitness centre and divine spa weren’t enough to cement Acqualina’s place as a leading global resort, its family-oriented programmes certainly will. With complimentary access to a fully-equipped Children’s Center, Acqualina sets the tone for the perfect family retreat. Children ages four to 12 will be able to access specially-crafted programmes that do not include gadgets. Its renowned AcquaMarine programme is described as a hit among guests as it offers marine-themed educational experiences using the beachfront property as its ‘classroom.’ Created in partnership with Itavi and founded by Miamian Ayana Rodriguez, the programme offers beach yoga, seashell-themed arts and crafts, and marine life puppet shows. And, if your children are more into sports, they too will be fully occupied as the resort offers soccer, basketball and even ping pong. Relay races on the beach and kite flying are among the other fun, engaging activities that Acqualina’s family-based programme has to offer. So, while parents indulge in self-care at the spa or fitness centre, they can do so with an easy mind knowing their children are not only engaged but well taken care of. As a mother of two, the latter is of paramount importance when selecting spots to vacation with family.

Speaking of care, customer service at Acqualina is top-notch. The resort has managed to truly create a family environment even among its staff. The warmth exuding from each employee is so palpable, that you will find yourself smiling from light conversations while having your every need tended.

According to Vice President of Communications at Acqualina Resort & Residences, Alexandra Wensley, a warm personality is a prerequisite for employment at the resort as guests need to feel like they’re at their home away from home during their stay.

In a highly competitive global tourism industry, Acqualina Resorts has emerged as a leading brand that manages to deliver family-oriented retreats sealed with a masterclass in luxury and relaxation.
