Delivery man charged after alleged baton attack
CLARENDON, Jamaica – A 31-year-old delivery man has been arrested and charged after allegedly battering a complainant with a piece of board.
Karol Anderson otherwise called ‘Damion’, of Harris Street, May Pen, Clarendon is facing charges of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm following the incident on January 15.
Reports from the May Pen police are that about 10:30 am the complainant was walking and observed Anderson standing in the road with a board which resembled a baton.
Anderson allegedly approached the complainant and used the piece of board to hit the individual in the head causing a wound that bled.
The complainant was assisted to the hospital and admitted for treatment.
A report was later made to the police on Sunday, January 19 and Anderson was arrested and subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
