With almost 30,000 likes, over 700 comments, and some 2,000 shares, it’s safe to say Jamaican costume designer and art director Annalisa “@annaixe” Guthrie’s DIY birthday ‘fit has gone viral.
The top, a show-stopper made out of metal rings covered in sage-coloured rope and a bra covered in same was teamed with a brown leather skirt and heels refashioned in rope.
Guthrie — whose AURAI Swimwear was featured by Tuesday Style Fashion (TSF) in 2020 when she presented at Boston Caribbean Fashion Week, and who boasts production design and art direction credit for Olympian Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce’s Circle Zero Eight Magazine Issue 05 feature and the Arsenal x adidas 22/23 pre-match kit shoot — shared the look on TikTok and Instagram while celebrating her birthday in Colombia.
