Four caught with illegal ammo in St Elizabeth
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police in St Elizabeth are reporting that four men have been charged following investigations into the seizure of ammunition last Friday.
Charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition are Horatio Thompson, 27, otherwise called ‘Flex’ or ‘Muskeeno’, a chef and resident of Leith Hall in St Thomas; Extor Beason, 24, otherwise called ‘Daw’ or ‘Tweet’, a resident of Old Pera St Thomas; Chandu Williams otherwise called ‘Skull’ or ‘Andre’, a resident of Leith Hall Fort, St Thomas; and Rento Gregory otherwise called ‘Black’ or ‘Ren’, a resident of Race Course Denham Town, Kingston 14.
A police report said about 12:05 am last Friday during a spot check operation on Main Street, Santa Cruz a 2010 grey Honda Stepwagon with the suspects aboard and driven by Thompson was signalled to stop.
The four men and the motor vehicle were searched by the police and a brown one-strap bag that was seen on the floor of the motor vehicle was found to contain four live 9mm cartridges.
The driver was also charged with breaches of the Road Traffic Act as he had no driver’s license and no insurance coverage.
