3-y-o Canadian girl dies in suspected drowning at popular Trelawny resort
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — The Trelawny police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a three-year-old Canadian girl who is suspected to have drowned on Monday in a pool at a popular Trelawny hotel where she was vacationing with her parents.
According to a senior police officer in Trelawny, the police were summoned after the child was discovered unresponsive in the swimming pool.
“We suspect that it is a case of drowning but we are conducting investigations to determine the cause of death and the circumstances that led to it,” the senior cop told Observer Online.
The child and her parents reportedly arrived on the island on December 31.
