The biannual exhibition of New York’s best runway collections returned on February 6, with star-studded front rows; swoon-worthy style moments; and, of course, New York Fashion Week (NYFW) staple, Saint International model Tami Williams rocking the latest looks from Sergio Hudson.
Plus, American multi-Grammy Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar shut down the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in custom Martine Rose at Caesars Superdome on February 9, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rose, a renowned Jamaican-British designer, established her eponymous label in London in 2007.
Meanwhile, on The Rock, the rhythmic pulse of music and the expressive artistry of fashion converged in a cultural showcase on Sunday, February 9 as Girls Skate JA principal Kadiya McDonald and Tribe Nine designer Troy Oraine Williamson presented Jamaica’s first style and sound showcase: Riddim Runway. The movement, held at multidimensional music and cultural works complex Skyline Levels, paid homage to Jamaica’s ‘riddim’ culture — notably, the Liquidator, Taxi, and Party Time rhythms — while showcasing new silhouettes from Williamson’s upcoming collection.
