Daughter accused of issuing death threat to her father
A St James woman accused of brandishing a knife at her father and threatening to kill him during a domestic dispute is scheduled to be tried on February 28.
Adeisha James appeared in the parish court for the first time on Wednesday in relation to a charge of issuing a threat.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge before presiding judge Kaysha Grant-Pryce.
According to court records, on January 6 a dispute arose between the father and his daughter while they were at their home in Maroon Town, St James.
During the course of the argument, James allegedly brandished a knife in the direction of her father while delivering a menacing declaration that hinted at the possible termination of his life.
“Today is the last day yuh a go live,” the accused woman is alleged to have said to her father.
The matter was reported to the police and James was arrested and charged.
After the allegations were outlined, judge Grant-Pryce scheduled the case for trial and extended James’ bail.
