ST JAMES, Jamaica — Green Pond SC could return to the top of the points tables in Zone B of the St James Football Association/Sandals Resorts International Major League when they host Heights FC in a second-round game at Green Pond High Friday afternoon, starting 3:30 pm.

Green Pond SC slipped to second in the points tables last week after they were upset 1-0 by Norwood Strikers and overtaken by Flankers FC who will not play until Sunday.

Flankers FC lead on 15 points from seven games played, two points more than Green Pond SC and Cambridge United, both on 13 points but separated by goal difference.

It was Green Pond SC’s second loss this season and they are hoping to beat Heights FC for a second time after getting by them 3-1 in the first round.

Heights FC, a semi-finalist last season, have won just one game from their seven starts and are second to last in the tables on five points.

Also today, Norwood Strikers will be confident going into their game against Montego Bay Boys Club after their win over Green Pond last week.

Montego Bay Boys Club had beaten Norwood Strikers 1-0 in the first round and will hope to win today, snapping a two-game winless run.
