MONTEGO BAY, St James — Manchester High can wrap up the Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association rural area boys basketball double today when they take 1-0 advantages into the second games of their best-of-three finals against Herbert Morrison Technical in Montego Bay.

On Tuesday, Manchester High scored big wins in both sections. They cruised to a 67-22 victory in Game One of the Under-16 final and mirrored that dominance in the Under-19 equivalent with a 74-42 romp. For former champions Herbert Morrison it was their first loss in the senior section all season.

In the Under-16 contest, Christopher Henderson led Manchester High with 23 points and 10 steals as they dominated Herbert Morrison Technical in 43-point victory.

Manchester High led 11-9 after the first quarter before outscoring the Montego Bay team 36-3 over the next two quarters. They led 47-12 going into the final quarter.

In the Under-19 game, Manchester High led 17-11 after the first quarter, 32-21 at half time, and were ahead 56-35 at the end of the third period.

Oral Daley scored a game-high 21 points and added eight rebounds for Manchester High, while Sharon Bogle scored 16 points and Nathaniel Reynolds contributed 13 points.

On Monday, Holland High, led by 14 points from Andrae Kerr, took third place in the Under-19 section after beating Belair High 49-37.

Rashard Robinson had a double-double in a losing effort for Belair High when he scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds.

Today, Cornwall College and Belair High will meet in the third-place play-off for the Under-16 section before the games between Manchester High and Herbert Morrison Technical.
