FOOTBALL FRENZY: Bayern Munich, Inter Milan face tough tests

The Italian Serie A will witness a blockbuster clash between the last two title winners when 2023 champions, Napoli, host defending champions, Inter Milan, in a mouthwatering encounter. And later today, Bayern Munich resumes their quest to regain the Bundesliga title they lost to Leverkusen last season.

Event # 1 – GER– Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich– 2:30PM

Bayern Munich look to continue their charge to reclaim their Bundesliga title this season as they travel to Stuttgart for a tricky fixture later today. Stuttgart have done relatively well so far this season, sitting seventh in the league table and are pushing for a European spot for next season. At home, Stuttgart have been excellent with seven wins and two draws, and they enter this crucial clash having played to a 1-1 draw away to Hoffenheim, but it’s their struggles to turn draws into wins on a more consistent basis that have seen them not challenging for the title this term, having pushed last season’s eventual winners, Bayer Leverkusen, for most of the season. With that said, Stuttgart are just three points away from the fourth-placed side in the table, meaning a win over Bayern Munich and results elsewhere could see them in the top four this weekend.

Bayern Munich are determined to reclaim their Bundesliga title they lost last season, and they have been relentless in their pursuit so far. They will travel to Stuttgart having demolished Eintracht Frankfurt 4-0 last week in another dominant display. That win made it eight from their last nine in the league. Away from home, Bayern Munich have been equally ruthless, with seven wins, three draws, and just one loss. With this impressive away form, the former champions will travel to Stuttgart high on confidence, having already dismantled Stuttgart 4-0 when both sides met earlier this season.

Key Stats

• Stuttgart – Stuttgart have won just two of their last five matches in all competitions and are winless in their last two matches in the league.

• Bayern Munich – Bayern Munich enter this match unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions and won the reverse fixture 4-0 earlier this season.

• Both sides – In recent times Bayern Munich have been the dominant side in this matchup, winning five in a row in Stuttgart before losing in their most recent trip 3-1 in May last year.

The betting Tip.Bayern Munich win.

Event # Serie A – Napoli vs Inter Milan– 12:00PM

It’s first place against second place, it’s a matchup between the last two winners of the Serie A crown, it’s a blockbuster clash in Naples as Napoli welcome defending champions and league leaders Inter Milan in a must-see showdown, with both teams separated by just one point. Napoli have been in excellent form so far this season and are second in the table, just one point behind the upcoming opponents, Inter Milan, who are on 57 points. The Partenopes, Napoli, have been particularly strong at home, having won 12 times, one draw, and just two defeats. However, it is their recent overall form that is of concern to their fans as they have experienced a dip lately, having won just one of their last five games, drawn three, and suffered one defeat during this run. Worryingly, their most recent outing resulted in a surprising defeat away to promoted side Como, which might have dented their confidence heading into this crucial top of the table clash.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, have been a model of consistency so far this campaign as they look to defend the title they won last season. They will enter this game with confidence at an all-time high, having leapfrogged Napoli into first place last weekend after they defeated Genoa 1-0, and Napoli lost away to Como. With that said, much like their opponents, Inter Milan’s recent form have been somewhat mixed, with two wins, one draw, and two defeats in their last five matches across all competitions. However, their win last weekend and Napoli’s loss could provide the momentum they need heading into this huge clash, as a win will see them open a four-point lead over Napoli.

Key Stats

• Napoli– Napoli have lost just one of their last 10 Serie A matches, the only loss, a 1-0 defeat away to Como last weekend.

• Inter Milan –Inter Milan have won six of their last nine away matches in the league but are winless in their last three away games, losing consecutive away games to Juventus and Fiorentina.

• Both sides – The most recent clash between these two Italian giants ended all square in a 1-1 stalemate.

The betting Tip. Draw.
