St Catherine man charged with larceny as a servant after fleecing millions from customers

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A St Catherine man has been charged with larceny as a servant after allegedly fleecing $3,371,285.00 from customers at a business establishment where he worked in Spanish Town.

The accused has been identified as 21-year-old Takoder Beckford of Sligoville, St Catherine.

Reports are that Beckford used his security code to void customers’ receipts and took for himself the money that was to be paid to the various service providers. This reportedly took place between August and January 2025.

Beckford reportedly confessed when a concerned customer enquired about her bill payment not reflecting and her service got disconnected.

He was arrested and later charged following a question-and-answer interview.

His court date is being finalised.
