KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Manchester Co-operative Credit Union Limited (MCCU) has set its sights on expansion and transformation in 2025, as outlined during its recent “Blast Off” event at the Golf View Hotel in Mandeville.

Under the theme “Grow, Transform and Thrive,” the gathering brought together MCCU staff and representatives from affiliated entities, including the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League Limited (JCCUL), CUNA Caribbean Insurance Jamaica Limited, Quality Network Co-operative Limited (QNET), CUMAX Wealth Management (CUMAX), and Jamaica Co-operatives Insurance Agency Limited (JCIA).

The event began with a praise and worship session led by gospel artiste Carey Sayles, followed by greetings from the affiliate organisations. Guest speaker Georgia Crawford-Williams delivered a keynote address focused on personal and organisational transformation, encouraging staff to embrace change and adopt a growth mindset.

MCCU General Manager Kerrene Grant Brown outlined the institution’s strategic plans for the year ahead, emphasising the vital role of staff in its continued success.

“The staff members are the engine of MCCU,” she said, “We can achieve even greater success in 2025 and beyond.”

Grant Brown also noted the institution’s standing as one of only three remaining parish-based credit unions in Jamaica, a testament to its longevity and community support. MCCU, which serves over 50,000 members, aims to build on its 73-year legacy while strengthening its financial services for future generations.
