Police kill second member of 7s gang in two days
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police have killed another member of the 7s gang in Red Hills, St Andrew.
The deceased, identified as 24-year-old Kirk Holton, otherwise called ‘Sugar’ from Waltham Park Road, St Andrew, was reportedly fatally shot during a confrontation with lawmen Thursday morning.
According to the police, an illegal firearm, a .38 revolver with five rounds, was taken from the deceased.
Holton is the second member of the 7s gang to be killed in two days. On Wednesday, 23-year-old Shacqol ‘Track Star’ Pounal from Content Avenue was shot dead during a police operation in the community.
A 9mm pistol with three rounds of 9mm cartridges was seized in that incident, the police reported.

Pounal was said to be the second-in-command of the 7s Gang, which operates from sections of Bay Farm Road, 75 Lane, 77 Lane, Campbell Boulevard, and Norwich and Content Avenues.
The gang is believed to be responsible for several violent activities in communities in the St Andrew South and Central Divisions.
Like Pounal, Holton was being sought in connection with several murders and shootings, including a quadruple murder last November in the St Andrew South Division.
