The figure-flattering cuts and spotlight-stealing details of a bygone era returned with a twist last Wednesday, April 9, when Sagicor Group Jamaica hosted its annual Corporate Awards Ceremony under the theme “Vintage Hollywood”.

Opera gloves made a marked return as the dolls pulled inspiration from screen sirens Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, and trenchcoats and top hats took the fore as gents channelled matinee idols like Humphrey Bogart, Clarke Gable and Gregory Peck. The event’s Walk of Fame confirmed that old Hollywood glamour is alive and well.

Gone With The Wind-Fabulous With the help of BrandEd by Norma Williams, Sagicor Life Executive Agent Marcia Richards paid homage to African-American actress, singer-songwriter, and comedian Hattie McDaniel in a gown that featured a fitted bustier top and gathered full-circle ballroom crafted from 25 yards of fabric by Pesche.
