Two dead in Good Friday crash in Trelawny
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Two men are now dead following a multi-vehicle collision on the Braco main road in Trelawny on Good Friday.
The deceased have not yet been identified, but they were reportedly a part of a group of four individuals riding ATVs when they came into contact with a tractor-trailer along the roadway.
One man died on the spot, while the other died in the hospital.
Reports are that about 7:30 pm, there was a collision involving the tractor-trailer and a Suzuki Baleno. The trailer then veered off the roadway, and that was when the ATVs collided with it, according to reports.
The injured individuals were rushed to the hospital by passersby. Both the police and the fire department responded to the incident.
The drivers of the trailer and Baleno are reportedly fine, but several individuals on the back of the trailer were taken to the hospital. Two of the individuals succumbed to their injuries.
