Emirates seeks to clarify Jamaica flightshare
Emirates Airline has released a statement regarding its flight service to Jamaica indicating that it is actively promoting the country to its customer base.
“[The airline] actively promotes Jamaica to its customer base through curated Emirates Holidays packages, featuring a range of hotels, adventure excursions and sporting activities, in addition to cultural events,” it said.
The statement aligned with previous announcements made by Ministry of Tourism officials Edmund Bartlett and Delano Seiveright.
“Emirates’ codeshare agreement with Condor allows passengers from across its network to seamlessly connect to Jamaica, utilising the German carrier’s services via Frankfurt, while enjoying the convenience of travelling on a single ticket with a hassle-free baggage policy. Emirates customers can also travel to the island nation through partners’ interline flights including United, via Chicago or Houston, in addition to Air Canada-operated flights through Toronto. Emirates Skywards members can also earn and redeem Miles on all Condor-operated flights to Montego Bay,” the airline maintained.
The Emirates statement comes several weeks after the Government and Opposition traded words over the agreement with the Opposition alleging that the government had misrepresented the deal.
