NCU FM heads on the road for 10th Acts of Kindness School Tour
More than 10,000 students in 10 high schools across 10 parishes will benefit from the 10th staging of the Acts of Kindness School Tour, scheduled from May 2 to 26.
The main objective of this annual programme, organised by the NCU Media Group, is to promote and reward kindness among students, enabling them to have a greater impact on society.
“For nine years, we’ve been committed to changing the world, one kind deed at a time,” said Fabia Phillips-Lawrence, acting general manager of the NCU Media Group.
“This tour empowers students, celebrates educators, and builds stronger communities through values that matter,” added Phillips-Lawrence.
The tour features motivational sessions, object-lesson devotionals, and student engagement activities such as the ‘91 Seconds of Kindness Challenge’, the ‘Student Kindness Activist Recognition’, and the ‘Kindest Teacher Award’.
“Several entities invest in things that are not considered wholesome for the nation’s youth. We at NCU Media are investing in our future by instilling values that can stay with the youngsters. We want them to know that it pays to be kind. They can change lives by being kind, and their generation can benefit from their kindness,” said Phillip-Lawrence.
“We genuinely want them to know they can change the world, one kind deed at a time…and they can start with their classmates, teachers, relatives, and others,” Phillip-Lawrence added.
She argued that the Acts of Kindness School Tour is uniquely positioned to combine educational empowerment, community service, and mental wellness support, making it a powerful platform for national transformation.
Broadcasting from the heart of Manchester, NCU FM is a family-friendly, Seventh-day Adventist faith-based radio station owned by Northern Caribbean University. It has a commitment to transforming lives through education and wellness.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness, a repeat sponsor, will join the tour and give mental health talks to the students.
