A voice from the heart
Dear Editor,
It was a contralto voice that came from the heart of the human soul. It was not only lyrical and stately, but spiritual, unearthing deep-seated emotions of love and piety.
In life, Marilyn Bryce-McDonald gifted us a talent, and now she has bequeathed to us a treasure of enduring memories of vocal beauty and inspiration.
An earthly friend of the National Chorale of Jamaica, to whom we expressed gratitude in May 2019 with our Medal of Excellence, Marilyn now rests quietly in the heavens with a song in her heart and a smile in her eyes for her daughter, Christine, an umbilical voice of the chorale.
With heads bowed with respect, the National Chorale of Jamaica remembers a departed pilgrim.
