Sandals treats 700 teachers for Teacher’s Day
ST ANN, Jamaica — The Sandals Foundation in partnership with the Urban Development Corporation treated over 700 teachers from 43 primary and secondary schools in St Ann, St Mary, Westmoreland and St James in celebration of Teacher’s Day for yet another year.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated on May 7.
The organisers planned and executed an event held at Pearly Beach in St Ann, where the teachers in the area had access to unlimited food and drink served by staff from Sandals.
The Sandals team also delivered on a day of entertainment and games for the educators.
“We have teachers from all over and we are very happy we can do this especially for those in the rural areas. This is the best thing that we can do for the teachers because they are so deserving of it,” said Regional Public Relations Manager for Beaches Ocho Rios and Sandals Ochi Beach Resort, Lyndsay Isaac.
In addition to the 400 teachers that were treated in St Ann and St Mary, Sandals Foundation also feted along the south coast 162 educators, 80 in Negril and 115 in Montego Bay.
