Police Credit Union Foundation to stage annual 5K run/walk
The Jamaica Police Co-operative Credit Union (JPCCU) Foundation is set to host its third Annual Benevolent 5K Run/Walk, taking place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, under the inspiring theme ‘Run with Purpose, Support with Heart’.
The event promises a vibrant morning of wellness, unity, and service, bringing together individuals, families, and corporate teams in support of a meaningful cause.
The run/walk is scheduled for a 6:30 am start at the Police Officers’ Club, located at 34 Hope Road in St Andrew.
Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to take part, promoting healthy lifestyles while directly contributing to the JPCCU Foundation’s impactful community programmes.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the JPCCU Foundation’s benevolent initiatives, which provide essential medical assistance, scholarships, and bursaries to Jamaicans in need — building stronger families and more resilient communities across the island.
“This event is about more than fitness — it’s a celebration of community spirit, compassion, and purpose,” said Dormah Harrison, chairman of the JPCCU Foundation. “We invite everyone to join us in uniting for a cause that uplifts lives and strengthens our nation.”
The event is hosted in partnership with Running Events Jamaica, guaranteeing a safe, well-organised experience for all participants.
Registration is open at a cost of $2,500 per person. Each registrant will receive an official race bib and a commemorative medal upon completing the race.
