Wanted St Mary man caught in Portland
PORT MARIA, St Mary — A construction worker of a St Mary address who was on the run for shooting with intent, was caught by the police in Snow Hill, Portland on Thursday, April 8.
He has been identified as 33-year-old Jason Anderson, also called ‘Skidda’ or ‘Skebo’, of Sandside, Port Maria and Snow Hill Portland.
The police report that, acting on information, they conducted an operation during which they spotted Anderson cutting grass along the Snow Hill main road.
He was arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and wounding with intent.
Anderson allegedly shot and injured a construction worker in 2022 on the site where both of them worked in the Sandside community.
The complainant is said to have been shot in his right wrist after Anderson and him had an argument during which he threatened to shoot him.
It is said that Anderson left and returned with a gun which he used to commit the act. He later fled the scene and was being sought by the police since.
He is scheduled to appear in the St Mary parish court on Thursday, May 15.
