Rapper Tory Lanez hospitalised after stabbing – reports
Canadian rapper Tory Lanez is reportedly in hospital after being stabbed at a US prison where he is currently serving a 10-year sentence.
According to US media reports, the 32-year-old was stabbed by another inmate in the yard at the California Correctional Institution on Monday morning.
He was reportedly rushed to hospital in critical condition.
The circumstances that led to the incident are not immediately clear.
in August 2023, Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting and wounding hip hop superstar Megan Thee Stallion.
Megan testified that Lanez, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, fired the gun at the back of her feet and shouted for her to dance as she walked away from an SUV in which they had been riding in July 2020, after leaving a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home. She had to have surgery to remove bullet fragments.
