Shake it to the Max (Fly) tops Billboard Afrobeats chart, enters R&B charts
Shake it to the Max (Fly) Remix by Moliy and Silent Addy featuring Shenseea and Skillibeng continues to wage an attack on the music charts globally.
The song soars to #1 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart, dethroning Push 2 Start by Tyla, which spent 30 weeks at #1.
Shake it to the Max also enters multiple Billboard charts this week. It debuts at #42 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and #34 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. Over on Rhythmic Top 40, the song bullets from #33 to #26 in its third week.
Over on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, Shake it to the Max (Fly) moves from #67 to #63 in its 4th week, while backtracking from #68 to #71 on the Irish Singles chart. Over on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, it falls from #1 to #3.
The song’s presence is also being felt on other charts around the world.
On the Official UK Singles chart, it remains at #26 for a second week, while on the UK Afrobeats chart, it continues to lead the pack. On UK Hip-Hop R&B Singles chart, it remains at #3.
The song also moves up to #32 in Switzerland, #31 in Austria and#16 in Greece. Meanwhile, over Billboard’s Global 200 it sprints from #136 to #111. It stepped up from #95 to #81 on Global Excluding US 200.
Meanwhile, Davido’s R&B featuring Shenseea and 450 dips from #17 to #19 in its third week on the US Afrobeats Songs chart. It peaked at #13 three weeks ago.
There’s more Jamaican presence on the German urban chart with Push 2 Start (remix) by Tyla and Sean Paul inching down from #2 to #3, Let it Talk to Me by Sean Paul and INNA rising from #15 to #9, and Crazy by Busta Rhymes, Akon and Vybz Kartel remains at #17.
Now onto the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, clocking 278 non-consecutive weeks at #1 is Legend by Bob Marley & the Wailers, while Shaggy re-enters at #2 with Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection.
The Trinity by Sean Paul remains at #3 while World on Fire by Stick Figure and Greatest Hits by UB40 are #s 4 and 5.
Dutty Rock by Sean Paul is steady at #6, Set in Stone and Wisdom by Stick Figure are #7 and #8, while Welcome to Jamrock by Damian Marley and Exodus by Bob Marley are #9 and #10.
Praise You by Terry Linen takes over the #1 spot on the South Florida Reggae chart. Songs of Zion by Carlene Davis rises from #13 to #11, Weekend Dude by Duane Stephenson bolts from #18 to #14, and Hopeton Lindo and Kevoy Clarke post new entries with Times That We’re Living In (#24) and That’s The Way (#25) respectively.
On the New York Reggae chart, Love Again by Tarrus Riley clocks a second week at #1. Blame it on the Wine by Hezron steps up from #9 to #6, Fallen For You by Dinho Da Rastaman rises from #22 to #18, while Bring it Home by Keith Cole (#29) and I’m in Love Again by JC Lodge (#30) make their debuts.
