2000 Guineas Showdown: Sensational Soul, Honour Prince top contenders
The 2025 Jamaica 2000 Guineas is shaping up to be a thrilling contest, with Sensational Soul and Honour Prince emerging as top contenders among the 27 provisionally entered three-year-old colts and geldings.
Sensational Soul, trained by Gary Subratie, has already proven his mettle with two wins, including a victory in The Kingston over 7½ furlongs (1,500m) on May 4.
Meanwhile, Honour Prince, trained by Robert Pearson, boasts an impressive three wins, including the Sir Howard Stakes (6 furlongs or 1,200m) and the Prince Consort Stakes (7 furlongs or 1,400m).
The two horses have met once before, with Honour Prince holding the advantage in the Sir Howard Stakes.
Sensational Soul had finished in 3 ¾ lengths in fifth place behind Honour Prince in the Sir Howard Stakes on March 15.
