Seeking My Dream Trophy: A thrilling contest awaits

The $1.4-million Seeking My Dream Trophy, an Open Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward over 7 ½ furlongs (1,500m), is the feature race on tomorrow’s nine-race card. With Commandant, Atomica, and Tiz Tok renewing rivalry, the race is expected to be a thriller.

The Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide takes a look at the runners and their chances of winning.

1. COMMANDANT (USA): (5 b h by Girvin – Alotofappeal) – Was expected to be a top contender in the Ian Levy Cup but had a disappointing run. However, he has been training well since then and could bounce back with a win in this race. His pedigree suggests he has the speed and endurance to compete at this level.

2. RUN JULIE RUN: (4 gr f by Successful Native – Runaway Julie) – Is a capable runner, but she is not expected to be a major player in this race. She may struggle to keep up with the pace of this field.

3. MOJITO: (5 gr h by Savoy Stomp – Fiftyshadesofray) – Won his last start, but it’s unlikely he will repeat that performance.

4. DESERT OF MALIBU (USA): (6 ch m by Malibu Moon – Lady Digger) – Returns to racing after a 144-day break. She last competed in the Mouttet Mile in December and finished unplaced. However, she has the stamina and speed to compete at this level, and she may be freshened up after her break. Desert of Malibu might just surprise us.

5. INSPIRE FORCE (USA): (5 ch h by Union Jackson – Exotic Design) – Inspire Force is expected to struggle in this race.

6. DIVINE FORCE (USA): (5 b h by Alternation – Dance America) – Has no chance of winning this race. Despite his pedigree, he may not have the speed or endurance to compete with the top contenders.

7. ATOMICA: (6 ch m by Nuclear Wayne – Honkeytonkville) – Finished a strong second in the Ian Levy Cup and could repeat that effort here. Her breeding suggests she has the speed and agility to compete at this level.

8. TIZ TOK (USA): (5 b h by Tiznow – Weekend Prospect) – Finished fourth in the Ian Levy Cup, but look for a better run from him here. Given his form, class, and talent, Tiz Tok is bound to run a big race here.

9. NEO STAR: (6 b h by Neolithic – Angel Dream) – Neo Star can be safely bypassed in this race.

10. IS THAT A FACT (USA): (5 b h by Palace Malice – Valid Code) – Is That a Fact has been training well and is expected to run accordingly. His breeding suggests he has the speed and endurance to compete at this level, and he may be a dark horse in this race.

With Commandant, Atomica, and Tiz Tok renewing their rivalry, this race is shaping up to be a thrilling contest. Who will emerge victorious?

Atomica (Dane Dawkins) Garfield Robinson

Tiz Tok (Shane Ellis) Karl Mclarty
