Less than one week before Best Of The Best in Miami, organisers of the annual show are confident of a strong turnout. The event, which has Beres Hammond and Buju Banton as headliners, takes place May 25 at Bayfront Park.

It will be held one day before Memorial Day, one of the most revered holidays in the United States.

“Everything is shaping up beautifully. We’re excited and fully prepared to share an unforgettable experience with our patrons, many of whom are already securing their tickets in advance,” said Ronnie Tomlinson, publicist for Best Of The Best. “The artistes are ready to deliver stellar performances, it will be a true Caribbean celebration.”

Co-produced by Rockers Island and Massive B Entertainment, Best Of The Best takes place eight days after Vybz Kartel’s show at Amherst Arena in Sunrise, which is half-hour away from Bayfront Arena. It also features Romain Virgo, Wayne Wonder, Nadine Sutherland, Marcia Griffiths and soca star Skinny Fabulous from St Vincent and The Grenadines.

It is the 19th edition of the show, which has become the premier dancehall gig in South Florida.

This year, Best Of The Best is sponsored by Grabba Leaf, a company with strong ties to the Caribbean community. Based in Pompano Beach, Florida, it was launched in Jamaica 19 years ago.
