British resident dies after car slams into motorcycle in St James
ST JAMES, Jamaica — A woman was reportedly mowed down in a motor vehicle accident along the Greenwood main road in St James on Monday night.
Unconfirmed reports identify the woman as a resident of the United Kingdom who was travelling as a pillion on a motorcycle about 8:00 pm when the incident occurred.
Eyewitness reports indicate that a woman and a man travelling on a motorcycle were ploughed into by a car that was trying to navigate its way onto the main road from a nearby establishment.
The woman suffered severe injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The man, who also sustained injuries, is said to not be in serious condition.
The whereabouts of the driver are currently unknown.
