Truly, Deeply, Madly

Lifestyle, Vows
May 20, 2025

Truly, Deeply, Madly

I’ll be your dream, I’ll be your wish, I’ll be your fantasy

I’ll be your hope, I’ll be your love, be everything that you need

I love you more with every breath truly, madly, deeply do

I will be strong, I will be faithful ‘cause I’m counting on.

A new beginnin’

A reason for livin’

A deeper meaning, yeah.

Well, I wanna stand with you on a mountain

I wanna bathe with you in the sea

I wanna lay like this forever

Until the sky falls down on me.

Truly, Deeply, Madly by Savage Garden

Kimola Knight might not have given Sean Smith a second glance on their first encounter, but fate charted a different course. Indeed, their love story, culminating in matrimony on January 25 at The Lavish Palms in Kingston, is proof that even the slowest of burns can ignite the brightest flames.

Kimola had no idea that meeting Sean in September 2019 would change the course of her life. Despite her initial lack of interest, he slowly won her over through his calm presence and politeness.

“We met at our previous workplace. At first, I wasn’t interested in Sean, but I could tell he had a quiet interest in me. He was very reserved and shy,” Kimola shared with Tuesday Style Vows (TSV)
. “Over time, we became close friends, and his gentle and gentlemanly nature grew on me.” Slowly but surely, their friendship would develop into something more meaningful the more they learnt about each other. Without even realising it, Kimola had found her soul mate.

“After a while of being friends and going on what I thought were simple outings, I realised I had fallen for him — and he for me. The way he treated me with kindness and consistency made it clear there was something deeper developing between us,” Kimola reflected. “We started dating after that friendship bloomed into something more. The moment I realised he was the one was when I saw how patient and consistent he was, even with my strong personality and busy life. He never rushed the process and allowed love to grow naturally.”

That natural progression served as the bedrock for their love. In the solace of their home on September 8, 2024, Sean’s heartfelt proposal to Kimola sealed their love in a setting that perfectly suited them.

“It was intimate and hilarious — just so us. Sean, being his shy self, went down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes, and because of his nerves, he tried to put the ring on the wrong hand! We burst out laughing, hugged, and kissed. It was so beautiful and perfectly imperfect,” Kimola recalled.

That perfectly imperfect proposal would match their wedding, months later. The special occasion saw Kimola adorned in a timeless dress from Helen’s Bridal while Sean was fitted in a green tuxedo. As the strains of Savage Garden’s Truly, Deeply, Madly filled the air, Kimola walked up the aisle, eager to begin her life with Sean. Under the guidance of officiant Shane O’Conner, they exchanged vows.

A delicious banquet by Annette’s Catering followed, with guests sharing heartfelt toasts to the newly married couple. Keeping the traditional formalities, Sean and Kimola cut their three-tier wedding cake provided by The Lavish Palms, before they shared their first dance as husband and wife to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect.

Encircled by their nearest and dearest, Kimola recognised their wedding day as the ideal launch into their shared future. “It felt like a sacred beginning to something God-ordained. Every smile, every tear, every prayer over us made it a day we’ll never forget,” she said.

The couple are planning a honeymoon for a later date.
