WATA opens 2025 ‘Hydrate to Educate’ nominations for secondary students
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Wisynco Group brand WATA has opened nominations for the 2025 edition of its Hydrate to Educate grant programme, which aims to ease financial burdens on secondary-level students across Jamaica.
Nominations are open until June 30, 2025, and can be submitted by anyone — including parents, guardians, teachers, coaches, or community leaders. Applicants must outline the student’s need, academic potential, and personal drive.
Brand manager for WATA, Brittany Roberts explained that the initiative is intended to support students who show determination to succeed despite economic hardship.
“Whether it’s tuition, textbooks, or transportation, the grant is designed to ease some of the pressure that comes with preparing for a new school year,” she said.
Three students from each parish will be selected to receive grants, with funds disbursed by the end of July to assist with back-to-school expenses such as uniforms, school supplies, and travel costs.
The student grant component complements the school-based segment of the Hydrate to Educate initiative, which will also award 14 high schools with $300,000 each for campus development projects linked to a national recycling challenge.
“At WATA, we believe that when students have access to the right support, it opens the door to endless possibilities,” Roberts added.
