JLP caretaker Frith leads Labour Day projects in St Andrew SE
Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) caretaker for St Andrew South Eastern, Kevin Frith on Labour Day spearheaded a number of community development projects which he said are aimed at revitalizing public spaces and reinforcing environmental stewardship across the constituency.
Guided by this year’s Labour Day theme of environmental responsibility, Frith’s efforts focused on beautification, community enhancement, and civic pride.
Among the projects were beautification at Oxford and Old Hope roads; bushing in Swallowfield; painting of Jacques Road Community Centre; and a constituency-wide clean-up initiative.
Frith said his aim was to bring people together in the constituency for a good cause.
“Labour Day is a time for action, togetherness, and pride in our communities,” said Frith. “These projects represent our shared commitment to a cleaner, stronger, and more vibrant St Andrew South Eastern.”
According to the Member of Paliament aspirant, his Labour Day initiatives are part of a broader vision for sustainable community development.
He said since aligning with the JLP, he has been actively advancing key initiatives in the constituency, including infrastructure upgrades; small business support, community outreach; and youth empowerment.
Frith is expected to challenge incumbent St Andrew South Eastern MP, Julian Robinson, in the upcoming general election.
