JMEA to host second national manufacturing conference
The Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) has announced the return of Manufacture 360°, the country’s only national conference dedicated to the manufacturing sector. The event, set for May 29 at the AC Hotel Kingston, will be sponsored by Sagicor Group Jamaica.
Under the theme “Shaping the Future of Jamaican Manufacturing from All Angles,” the conference aims to tackle pressing industry challenges, including global trade shifts, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. Kamesha Blake, JMEA executive director, calls it a “critical platform” for collaboration and strategy-building.
Highlights include a keynote address by John Mountford of UK-based Enginuity, who will address Jamaica’s skills gap through international best practices. The agenda also features panel discussions on technology, financing, and energy efficiency.
The event kicks off on May 28 with a networking mixer, followed by the main conference and a factory tour of CB Group’s The Nest, a $15-billion poultry facility in St Catherine.
