Ras Kronik takes the remix route on two of his songs, which will be released in June. Both are done by Steve “Mr Mig” Migliore, who has worked with major acts like Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

The songs are You Got me Baby, which was released on Wild N Free, Ras Kronik’s 2021 album, and Show Me Baby, a collaboration with singer Edge Michael. The Las Vegas-based singer is a big fan of the remix, arguably the most lucrative format in contemporary music.

“I always say that whichever or whatever happens when creating or experimenting with sound is great, it doesn’t matter the outcome. If it makes a commercial impact on Ras Kronik, that’s fine, it’s something I love to do and I’m very positive about what I do,” said Ras Kronik.

The collaborations are his latest with Mr Mig. They worked on Make Some Noise Mix, which is part of ADE Essentials 2020, a compilation album released five years ago.

You Got me Baby and Show Me Baby launch the Rastafarian artist’s 2025 campaign. The remixes are his most ambitious projects since the release of The Energy, Ras Kronik’s third album, which was released in 2023.

The Energy contained roots-reggae songs like Agree to Disagree, produced by Pandemic Records out of Atlanta. It also features production by the Bonafide Band, who like Ras Kronik are mainstays of Las Vegas’ reggae community.
