Real life Final Destination moment as theatre roof collapses amid newest movie
In a scene straight out of the cult classic movies a young mother escaped serious injury after a freak ceiling collapse during a screening of Final Destination:Bloodlines according to a Daily Mail report.
The sixth instalment of the series was showing at a cinema in La Plata, Argentina when Fiamma Villaverde who was celebrating her birthday and had not initially planned to go to the movies decided to treat herself and her daughter and another young girl, the report says.
Villaverde said she thought the initial ceiling collapse were sound effects from the movie before debris smashed into her leg.
“It didn’t hit me in the head because I was just leaning a little over the armrest,” she said.
It’s almost eerily similar to the film plot where young people escape near death situations only to be hunted by death later on.
Villaverde says she was extremely displeased with the reaction from management at the theatre and will be seeking legal advice.
The series which started in 2000 with Final Destination, garnered an immediate cult following spawning four spin offs in the early 2000’s. The most recent iteration is the first since 2011.
