Cambridge, John Rollins and Farm Primary win U-13 cricket competition
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Cambridge Primary, John Rollins Success Primary and Farm Primary were winners in the Johns Hall Primary/Jerry Reid Under 13 cricket competition earlier this week, beating Emann Prep, Maldon Primary and Chetwood Primary respectively, all games played at Barnett Oval.
Cambridge Primary were 39 runs winners over Emann Prep in the 12 overs game while John Rollins Success beat Maldon by eight wickets.
Cambridge Primary batted first and made 79 without loss, led by Kajay Thompson making 30 not out, then restricted Emann to 35 for three, Mark Williams taking two wickets.
John Rollins Success Primary beat Maldon Primary by 10 wickets, holding them to 51 runs for two wickets before making 52 without loss.
Maldon Primary won the toss and batted first as Success Primary’s Dontae Harvey took both wickets to fall.
In a close game, Farm Primary batted first and made 55 for 5 before holding Chetwood Primary to 53 without loss at the end of 15 overs.
