Page 2 raises yet another toast to the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) on the occasion of its 70th anniversary. The glitzy cocktail reception held at Devon House on Thursday, May 22 recognised not only the sterling work of JTB’s promotion of Jamaica as the ultimate tourist destination, but was also a night that saw sprint legend Usain Bolt named the country’s global tourism ambassador. It was a moment that Bolt relished, vowing to continue taking Brand Jamaica to new heights.
“I look forward to making an impact, as always, to put Jamaica to the world and to represent the country as best as possible and I will continue pushing to make Jamaica number one,” Bolt promised.
From the delicious fare provided by Mark Chong Catering, to the scintillating entertainment by Nickeisha Barnes and Dwight Richards & Band, it was a fitting celebration of seven decades of bringing the world to Jamaica.
