Man suspected of committing suicide in St Elizabeth water tank
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A St Elizabeth man is suspected to have committed suicide on Friday after he was reportedly seen going into a 10-foot water tank in Santa Cruz.
The deceased has been identified as Antonio Rhoden, 34, a farmer of Good Hope district in Santa Cruz.
Police said about 5:30 am, a passerby saw Rhoden running towards the water tank, climbing over the container and going in.
The passersby claimed he tried to stop Rhoden before he went into the tank..
Police said residents pulled Rhoden from the water and took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
