Sprint hurdler Britany Anderson newly married, expecting first child
Former national record holder and World Championship silver medallist Britany Anderson recently got married and is expecting a child.
She shared the exciting developments in her life with her social media followers on Sunday.
Anderson posted a photo of herself with her baby bump alongside her husband with the caption, “We said I DO…… And now we’re getting ready to say ‘hello’ to our little one. Our hearts are overflowing with so much joy and gratitude.
“Our journey as husband and wife has just begun, and already it’s growing in the most beautiful way. Love made us a family, and our greatest adventure is just beginning,” she continued. “Every good gift and every perfect is from above.”
Anderson addressed what she said were questions over whether had retired from track.
“I have been seeing all the messages asking if I’ve retired from competing, the short a sweet answer is NO. I deeply love what I do and I will be back competing next year but for now I’m soaking in all the blessings life have to offer,” she said.
Anderson set a then national record 12.31 seconds at the 2022 Oregon World Championships where she also won a silver medal.
Ackera Nugent broke Anderson’s national record at last year’s Olympic trials when she stormed to a brilliant 12.28 seconds to win the event.
