Sizzla’s management contemplates unplugged pop-up concert in Trinidad
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Following his non-performance at last weekend’s One Caribbean Festival in Trinidad due to alleged contractual breaches, veteran reggae artiste Sizzla may host an unplugged pop-up concert for disappointed fans.
In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Island Vibes Agency wrote “Should we do a Sizzla & Friends Unplugged pop up on Saturday?? We are still here on the island, let us know.”
Following the post, at around 4:45pm, 328 people had responsed to the poll, with with 96 per-cent saying a resounding ‘yes’ to the concert.
The One Caribbean Music Festival, which was scheduled for Queen’s Park Savannah in Trinidad, was dogged with controversy when dancehall king Vybz Kartel pulled out of the event citing contractual breaches.
Singer Moliy, currently riding high with the global hit Shake it to the Max (Fly), also pulled from the event.
The event was promoted by JACHO Entertainment.
