JACDEN Group launches medical services complex
KINGSTON, Jamaica — In what it says is an effort to provide affordable healthcare for Jamaicans, the JACDEN Group launched JACDEN Medical Services on Wednesday.
Jamaicans will be able to access dialysis, oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and diagnostics, among other medical services following the opening.
Dennis Gordon, founder and chairman of the JACDEN Group, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to healthcare equity.
“I recognised where the suffering was greatest—where people couldn’t afford overseas treatment—and I decided to make a difference. JACDEN Medical isn’t just a building. It’s a movement toward a healthier Jamaica. If you walk through our doors and are properly registered, you won’t be turned away due to financial constraints,” he stated.
Located at 18 1⁄2 Lyndhurst Road, Kingston, owners say the state-of-the-art, multi-specialty facility is designed to deliver affordable, world-class healthcare to all Jamaicans.
“We’re not just treating illnesses—we’re transforming lives,” said Chief Medical Officer Dr Kurdell Espinosa Campbell.
Owners say the facility also seeks to alleviate the burden on Jamaica’s public health system by providing an accessible private alternative; and they insist it will be kept affordable through partnerships with insurers, employers, and robust community outreach initiatives.
Minister of Health Dr Christopher Tufton, who was in attendance at the launch, praised the initiative.
“I believe in the one health principle,” he stressed.
Private healthcare facilities should be encouraged to complement the public system and give Jamaicans affordable options. I think JACDEN will be a good addition to the private space, providing both preventative and curative services and I commend them on the work done to make this facility a reality.”
To celebrate its launch, JACDEN Medical Services is offering a 10 per cent discount on all services throughout the month of June.
Opposition Leader Mark Golding also commended JACDEN’s efforts to bring innovative solutions to the health sector.
“This discount will significantly help provide affordable healthcare to Jamaicans who need it most. I commend Mr Gordon and his team for their dedication and service,” he said.
