Second major ammunition bust in Westmoreland in two days
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Six hundred rounds of ammunition were seized by members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) during an operation in Culloden District, Whitehouse in Westmoreland on Tuesday.
This follows Monday’s seizure of 3,900 rounds of ammunition along the shores of Whitehouse in the parish. Nineteen exotic animals, including birds and squirrels, as well as uncustomed cigarettes, were also seized during the operation.

in the latest incident, it is reported that a police and military team conducted an intelligence-led operation in search of wanted men between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. During the operation, 501 9mm rounds, 82 5.56 rounds and 40 .38 rounds of ammunition were discovered hidden among the vegetation in a hilly terrain.
No arrests were made in connection with the seizure.
