Shenseea earns first Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart spot

Shenseea’s first entry on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart comes in the form of the monster hit Shake it to the Max (Fly) remix, credited to Moliy, Silent Addy, Shenseea, and Skillibeng.

The song enters the chart at #14, the highest entry for a song featuring a Jamaican.

Skillibeng, who is also featured on Shake it to the Max (Fly), collects his second entry on the chart. A year ago, he made his debut on the chart with Jump (remix) by Tyla featuring Gunna, which stalled at #42.

Several Jamaicans have scored entries on this particular Billboard chart over the years. In 2018, Koffee rose to #47 with
Toast, while Bob Marley and the Wailers charted five entries, Elephant Man (10), Beenie Man (13), Sean Paul (16), Shabba Ranks (9), Diana King (6), Shaggy (8), and Patra (5).

Popcaan’s Only Man She Want stalled at #82 in April 2012, while Vybz Kartel charted with Ramping Shop featuring Spice at #76 in 2009.

And still on Shake it to the Max (Fly), the song is currently charting on major charts in more than 20 countries.

On the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 it moves up from #46 to #32, while on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop Streaming Songs chart it enters at #13. On the R&B/Hip Hop Digital Song Sales chart, the song flies in at #8.

Meanwhile, on Rhythmic Top 40, the song remains at #20, while on the Hot 100 it parachutes from #91 to #65 in its second week.

It creeps up from #21 to #19 on Mainstream R&B/Hip Hop Airplay, while inching up from #22 to #21 on R&B/Hip Hop Airplay.

Now onto the Billboard Global 200 Excluding US, Shake it to the Max (Fly) bolts from #16 to #10 in its 7th week while flying from #27 to #12 on Global 200.

The action on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart continues with Bob Marley and the Wailers dominating for 281 weeks in the #1 spot.

Shaggy’s Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection remains in the #2 spot, while World on Fire by Stick Figure,
Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul and Greatest Hits by UB40 are #3, #4 and #5, respectively.

Dutty Rock by Sean Paul is firm at #6, Wisdom and Set in Stone by Stick Figure are #7 and #8, Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers is #9, and Courage to Grow by Rebelution re-enters at #8.

Singer Christopher Martin spends a second week at the top of the New York Reggae chart with Wife and Sweetheart, while
Better Than Before by Glen Washington, and Reverse the Curse (remix) by Richie Stephens and Admiral Bailey are new at #29 and #30, respectively.

Fallen by Dinho Da Rastaman climbs from #13 to #11, Bye Bye Loneliness by Anthony Malvo darts from #11 to #9, and
Missing You by Paul Elliott steps up from #12 to #10.

On the South Florida Reggae chart, Tarrus Riley takes over the #1 spot with Love Again.

Moliy’s Shake it to the max remix which features Jamaican stars Skillibeng and Shenseea continue to make moves on charts around the world. .
