ISRATECH to host free sustainable farming symposium

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — ISRATECH Jamaica Limited, a national leader in agricultural innovation and sustainability, will host its Sustainable Farming Symposium on Wednesday, June 25, at the company’s headquarters in Kendal, Manchester.

The event begins at 9:00 am, and admission is free to the public.

The symposium is tailored for farmers and farm store operators, and aims to educate and empower Jamaica’s agricultural community through practical training and expert presentations focused on climate-smart and sustainable farming practices.

Among the topics to be covered are:  irrigation set-up and maintenance; greenhouses and plastic mulching; pumps and filtration systems; hydroponics and vertical farming, and crop care techniques.

Attendees will also gain access to exclusive discounts, giveaways, and financing opportunities through ISRATECH’s partnerships with local financial institutions and agri-support services.

“Our mission is to help modernise Jamaican agriculture by equipping farmers with the tools and knowledge to farm more efficiently, sustainably, and profitably, especially with the severe climate changes that we’ve been experiencing,” said Patricia Grant, marketing manager at ISRATECH. “This symposium aligns closely with the Ministry of Agriculture’s ‘New FACE of Food’ initiative, and we are proud to support that vision.”

With limited seating available, interested participants are encouraged to register early by visiting bit.ly/isratechfarming or following ISRATECH on Instagram or Facebook at “ISRATECH.”
