ChatGPT, API platforms currently experiencing challenges

KINGSTON, Jamaica — OpenAI, the parent company of ChatGPT and API, says both platforms are currently experiencing challenges due to outages, with some users reporting elevated error rates and latency across the platform.

“Some users are experiencing elevated error rates and latency across the listed services. We are investigating,” the company said in a status update on its website early Tuesday morning.

According to the website, API currently has 14 affected components while ChatGPT has 21.

“We are seeing continued recovery across API and ChatGPT. We will provide further updates as progress is made,” OpenAI said in its latest update.

It said full recovery across all listed services may take another few hours.
