Jamaica’s Rhyeme Wright finishes 3rd in Manhunt International competition
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Twenty-one-year-old Correctional Officer, Rhyeme Wright, Jamaica’s representative, finished in 3rd place at the Manhunt International Male Supermodel Competition, which took place Tuesday in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mr France, Adonis Renaud walked away the winner, while Mr Sri Lanka finished in second place. Mr Philippines and Mr Vietnam were fourth and fifth.
In a previous interview with Observer Online, Wright said he was looking forward to representing the country.
“I must say that it is an absolute pleasure to be representing my country in Thailand, and I am looking forward to the camaraderie from the other competitors. I also want to use this to build my self-confidence. I aspire to become a professional model or an actor, and I hope that this opportunity will set the stage for other male models to enter the competition.”
Wright was among more than 40 delegates who participated in the competition.
Jamaica’s Kirk Headley also finished in third place in the competition in 1999.
