WATCH: KFC deal worth the wait, say friends
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Three friends who strategised to be at the front of the queue to benefit from KFC’s 50th anniversary promotion on Wednesday said that despite a chaotic start to the morning, the ‘buy one meal get another free’ deal was well worth the hours-long wait.
“Worth the wait a 100 per cent!” Lexi told Observer Online while enjoying her meal with her friends at the Half-Way-Tree outlet.
Lexi, who rallied her friends from 6:00 am, said she made a plan to be one of the first in line at the location.
Her friend, Shadea, shared that she learnt about the deal last Saturday and decided to stay over Lexi’s house and wake early to tackle the anticipated crowd.
“We just wake up early and come sit down outside, and everybody outside a look pan we,” Shadea said.
Lexi explained further, “Mi make sure carry down the chair dem… Mi reach here from six o’clock…That was my plan.”
The third of the friend group, Toshi, added: “For me, mi did have to set an alarm because mi nuh wake early. [Pointing to Lexi] She make sure call me from seven o’clock.”
