Calabar’s Gordon signed to Texas Longhorns

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Calabar’s Shaquane Gordon has signed on to compete for the Texas Longhorns in the United States (US) at the collegiate level, as announced by The University of Texas at Austin on Friday.

In a post to Instagram, the school known for its “hook ‘em” slogan and bright orange kit, made the announcement via Instagram, adding “Welcome to Texas, Shaquane.”

Gordon competes in the 110m hurdles and 100m sprint and holds the 2025 Issa Grace Kennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Championships title in the hurdle event.

He was part of the winning Calabar 4x100m team that secured the Championship of America title at the Penn Relays in April.
