JPS powers a day of fun and fatherhood at ‘Brunch ‘N’ Play’

JAMAICA Public Service Company (JPS) feted dads to a vibrant afternoon of fellowship at Funland, Hope Gardens, on Sunday to mark Father’s Day.

The ‘Brunch N Play’ event hosted by FYI Consultancy welcomed fathers and their children for a day filled with football, games, rides, and well-deserved relaxation.

The lively atmosphere brought families together for moments of bonding, laughter, and light-hearted fun, offering a refreshing alternative to the typical Sunday routine.

The park buzzed with activity as kids hopped between rides and game stations, while fathers took part in football matches and domino tournaments, enjoyed complimentary massages courtesy of JPS, and stayed refreshed with light bites and drinks.

Adding a touch of luxury to the day was the JPS Lounge — a cosy space where dads could sit with their family, recharge, and enjoy being celebrated.

Reshima Kelly, brand marketing manager, JPS, explained the company’s reason for supporting the event.

“As a brand, we value family, and this was an opportunity to show support for the men who show up every day — not just for work, but for their children, their partners, their homes. We wanted to help create a moment where dads could take a breather, feel appreciated, and just enjoy their day,” said Kelly.

With music playing, football games in motion, and children eagerly pulling their dads from one attraction to the next, the event struck a thoughtful balance between fun and meaning.

Vaughn McDonald, head of industrial relations and compensation at JPS, was thrilled to enjoy the day with his father.

“I brought my dad with me and we just chilled, watched some football, got a massage, and soaked in the atmosphere. It was a good vibe. Some fathers were out on the field with their kids, but for us, it was more about unwinding and spending time together,” said McDonald.
