...first time in 19 years
There is a Jamaican presence inside the top 10 of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart for the first time in 19 years.

The last time that a Jamaican made it into the top 10 of the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart was in August 2006, when Sean Paul’s

Sean Paul has to date clocked six Top Ten entries on the chart, two of which went to #1, Get Busy and Baby Boy with Beyonce.
Shabba Ranks has three Top Ten charted singles, House Call with Maxi Priest (#4 in 1991), Slow and Sexy with Johnny Gill (#4 in 1992) and
Mr Loverman from the soundtrack of the film Deep Cover, which got as high as #2 in the summer of 1992.
Mad Cobra has one entry, Flex topped out at #7 in 1992, Elephant Man is featured on the Get Low (remix) by Lil Jon, Ying Yang Twins, and Busta Rhymes which went to #1 in 2004, and Shaggy has charted only two. The double-sided single Boombastic/In the Summertime was #1 in 1995, while It Wasn’t Me with Rik Rok stalled at #3 in early 2001.
Carl Douglas is the other Jamaican who has scored a top 10 hit on the R&B chart. He has two: Kung Fu Fighting (#1 in 1974) and Dance the Kung Fu (#8 in March 1975).
