Valiant makes Billboard’s 50 Best Albums of 2025 So Far list
Valiant’s 10-track EP Prove Them Wrong, is among the EPs and albums that made Billboard magazine’s The 50 Best Albums of 2025 So Far list.
The respected music and trade publication revealed the list on June 24.
Prove Them Wrong was released on May 23 via Epic Records/Sony Music UK. The project features collaborations with Fridayy, 450, and Tommy Lee Sparta.
Among the producers who contributed to the project are DJ Mac, Kvrim, GI, Crown Heights, and Emoji Records.
In an interview with the Jamaica Observer, Valiant explained the meaning behind the title of the EP.
“The title basically go with the journey based from Kotch Di Hat, and coming straight up with all the people who did doubt the ting. The title is for people who tune into Valiant music and dem ago through fi dem ting too, business wise and music wise,” Valiant told the
Observer.
The project is best described as a blend of dancehall and R&B fuelled by a bit of introspection and Spanish guitars.
He said the intention was meant to showcase his versatility.
“It was a conscious decision to show my growth musically and the versatility, to show say we can do different things,” the Mad Out deejay shared.
Other albums that made the Billboard list include the critically acclaimed I’m the Problem by Morgan Wallen, Hurry Up Tomorrow by The Weeknd, I’ve Tried Everything by Therapy Part 2 by Teddy Swims, Music by Playboi Carti, Something Beautiful by Miley Cyrus,
Mayhem by Lady Gaga, Sincerely by Kali Uchis, and 5ive by Davido, which features collaborations with dancehall artistes 450 and Shenseea.
