National Trials 2025: DeCambre wins senior 1500m
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Dylan DeCambre won his first national senior title after he dominated the men’s 1500m on Friday’s second day of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association’s (JAAA) National Senior Championships at the National Stadium.
The 20-year-old Virginia Tech junior clocked 3:46.59 minutes just outside his personal best 3:45.55 minutes set earlier this year, to beat Amiri Whittle (3:52.72 minutes) with Navasky Anderson third with 4:06.45 minutes.
St George’s College’s Jordan Mills won a close Boys’ Under – 20 final, running 4:16.89 minutes, just holding off Munro College’s Tayshawn Williams who ran 4:16.94 minutes, while Alphansus Davis’ Raheem Palmer was third with 4:18.94 minutes.
